Global Learning

You are a teacher or educator and you'd like to take your pupils on a trip to a new world.
You accompany a group of candidates to confirmation; the members of your association would like to be informed about fair trade.
As a head teacher you consider having your staff trained on the topic of Global Learning. After a six year stay in the Philippines I'm able to share authentic insights on this country. Interested? Invite me to visit your school or association as a referee of the project "Bildung trifft Entwicklung" – education meets development – of the One World Net of North Rhine-Westphalia.
The program follows the orientation frame for the subject area of Global Development as defined by the culture ministers' conference of 2007.
Please contact me directly or through the coordination bureau for North Rhine – Westphalia.

Young Craftspeople

You are a journeyman or in the second or third year of apprenticeship. Or maybe you're through with your vocational training. You are between 18 and 27 years' old and you'd like to broaden your horizon. With the new additional qualification Young Craftspeople in Development Cooperation you have the opportunity to absolve a hands-on training of at least four weeks as a craftsperson in a partner organisation of the South.

Here you can find out what it's all about and how to join:
Junges Handwerk in der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit  A joint project of the GiZ (German Society for International Cooperation) and the initiative Let's go of the West German Chamber of Crafts.

Martin Winkel, a former development worker with experience in vocational training and I look forward to getting to know you at the preparation course before your departure.
